How it works
Kizuna League is a game of backing heroes. Results come from real races you can’t see, so nobody, including us, decides who wins.
Pick
Meet the 14 heroes on their pages.
Back
Buy units before the countdown ends.
Watch
The runners race; the result is revealed live.
Cheer
Top four rise; the rest give up a stake.
The rules
Units
Every hero starts the season at 10 per unit. Backing buys new units at today’s unit price plus a 1% fee, so a new backer never dilutes anyone already there.
Each event
When backing closes, every runner puts 20% of the money behind it into the event. Runners that finish 5th or lower lose that stake.
Payouts
The lost stakes are shared by the top four, weighted 30, 25, 20 and 10 and scaled by how much each one staked, so a unit earns the same whether its hero is popular or overlooked. 15% goes to the house. The Rollover Chest goes to the winner.
Lock-up
Units can’t be sold for 3 events after you back.
Half-way pay-out
After 8 events, half of each purchase is paid back to your wallet automatically at the unit price. You can back that hero again 3 events later.
Share cap
No hero can hold more than 25% of all the money in the league. At the cap they are sold out, and anything above 25% after an event is paid back to their backers.
Crowd premium
Backing a hero that is much more crowded than average costs a little extra. The extra goes into the Rollover Chest.
Season end
After 40 events every unit is paid out at its unit price and every hero relists at 10.
Questions
Which race is my hero running in?
Nobody can tell you, and that is the point. Each event, the runners are dealt at random onto a real horse race. Only the official finishing order is used, and the race is never named.
Do superpowers or pets change results?
No. Powers are shown when results are revealed. They never affect a result, and nothing on a hero’s page is a rating.
Is backing an investment?
No. Units are stakes in a game. Their price goes up and down with results and you can lose what you put in. Only back what you can afford to lose.
Why do I see a pseudonym?
Everyone plays under a pseudonym. Other players never see your real name.
What happens if a race is cancelled?
Every stake goes back to its hero and unit prices return to where they were.
